City centre Flat - sleep upto 4

location and host reply. it was all very good. host is very responsive. we loved the say. he even gave us early check-in and late checkout. he was soo responsive and very cooperative.

-The location was ideal, nothing we wanted to see was more than a 20min walk away and during that walk we got to experience the charming streets of Edinburgh. The nearby park was especially nice to walk through each day. -Apartment space was nice and the rooms could comfortably fit 2 people in the sperate bed, no issue. We did not hear much from the other flats also so it seemed quite soundproof. Shower was very nice too. -The owner also kept in contact with us, asking if everything was okay and was very approachable when we called about a missing piece of jewellery. Luckily it was in our luggage somewhere but he offered to send it back to us if it showed up.

-Kitchen Facilities lacked some basic amenities such as spatulas or multiple knives. Also, some of the pots/pans seemed to stick easily and appeared older than expected. It made cooking harder but by no means impossible as we were able to make passible pasta and enchiladas. -The apartment layout was fine but the toilet room specifically was small for us and we hit our knees a number of times sitting down. We had to use the toilet with the door open a crack but that solution could be a problem for some. -When stripping the bed before we left, we noticed stains on the left bed's duvet. Additionally moving the bed to retrieve a sock, we noticed a large amount dust as if it hadn't been cleaned recently. There was also a slight smell of sick in the bedroom but it wasn't strong. A more thorough clean could be nice.

- location is good compared to the city - staff was clear in instruction on how to get in - there is quite some space in the appartement - price not too high

- toilet brush broken and not clean - the place is old and outdated - bed sheets are old and did not smell nice - the interior of the common area of the building felt really dirty - beds were really soft

Location was fine for accessing the city centre.

Advertised as having a dishwasher and microwave in the kitchen. There was no dishwasher and the microwave was rusty and dirty, it was a health hazard and not fit to use! I saw photos of the property before I booked but the layout of furniture had changed from this. It was advertised as sleeping 4 people but there were 2 double beds in one room, both pushed against walls one side. This was not suitable for 4 people, particularly if it was 2 couples rather than a family. Also, it would not have been possible to sleep 2 people in each bed without the person by the wall having to climb over the other person to get out of bed. The advertising photos did not show the floors in the bathroom and toilet. On arriving I found that both of these rooms just had concrete and not proper flooring, with some small mats covering part of the floors. The bedroom and toilet were dusty. In the bedroom, there was a thick layer of dust along the skirting board behind the door. I have taken photos of the areas of concern raised above in case the host wishes to see evidence of this.

That it was spacious overhaul it was a place to get my head down in peace and quiet. Big plus was I left my clothes in waldrobe and the owner sent them back after a short delay. Many thanks I can see that the property is being upgraded to meet people vacation needs

My preference is carpet. Solid old wooden floor. Kitchen lino horrible to walk on. No tv which was abit annoying.

Good location, prompt response from landlord. Decent place to stay if you are just looking to sleep overnight

Property was not entirely clean, found a used lingerie nightwear in cupboard with some- what looks like used bedsheets. Most of the metal appliances are rusted. Some of the towels were not clean- could find stains.

Very spacious place. Bedroom is very large, kitchen has everything we needed. Great location if you're running Edinburgh Marathon (10 mins walk to Potterow).

The location was great

Perfect location in walking distance to the town/castle etc

It was a little dated but did not effect the experience

Great location. 15 min walk to the main tourist spots.

Could be cleaner: kitchen doors in oil, dust on the shelves, toilet brush is broken, toilet door handle stays in your hand when you try to open the door.
