"A lovely relaxing stay in pleasingly unusual accommodation with friendly hosts"

10.0

My partner and I had a terrific time in the showman's wagon. Great comms beforehand, a friendly welcome when we arrived, and some lovely touches such as almond/oat millk in the fridge (we're vegans), a posy of freshly picked flowers on the table, and even a surprise bottle of fizz because we were both celebrating birthdays during our stay. We loved listening to the barn owls and tawnies and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the garden setting. Would very much recommend.

It's just a pity we couldn't stay longer.

"Charming, calming and a great place to reset and unwind"

10.0

The property is in a beautiful secluded garden, beautiful pond with waterfall and just a great feel about it. The wagon itself is beautiful, homely, warm, log burner and everything you need. It’s like stepping back in time as you drink tea overlooking the garden, listening the to thunderstorm overhead. We brought our own milk but there was some in the fridge and a great coffee maker. There is only a cold tap but hot water And shower is in the main house. The toilet (you will need a touch at night) is a natural toilet ( no water needed) but it’s clean and no smells. This is a real getting back to nature place and is so quiet and enables you to unwind and relax. Figgy the dog is beautiful and popped along for breakfast and chilled with us for a while. We had an amazing time and would definitely return

Cobwebs, needs a good dust through but it wouldn’t have the charm it does.

"comfy bed, lots of spider roommates, toilet a short walk away from the wagon."

5.0

lovely hosts, communicative and accommodating. The location for us was great, as it placed us a short drive away from the reason of our travel.

Lack of ammenities. Yes - the hosts offered access to a bathroom in the house, but the wagon itself only offered a bed, sink and an outhouse. This might be on us(not finding the lightswitch), but the outhouse also lacked a source of light, which left us in quite a funny, although impractical situation at the time.

"Despite the weather we both loved it and could have stayed longer."

9.0

This is your favourite fantasy of a cosy gypsy caravan in the woods come to life, but with better facilities. The hosts are gracious and lovely. And there was a complimentary collie :-)

The only useful improvement I could suggest is some steps at the back end, so the person who's on that end of the bed can step out in the middle of the night to use the facilities without having to climb over their partner. For a single person it wouldn't make any difference.

"Very sweet wagon and amazing hosts, was great for a short wknd escape"

8.0

Amazing, helpful and friendly hosts. Gave us great recommendations for where to go for walks and where to eat as were looking for veggie places. Shower is in the main house rather than wagon but easy and comfy access. Very sweet wagon in their beautiful garden but felt private enough, and funny dog who insisted on us throwing tennis balls for her to catch :) Great coffee machine for real coffee was a big plus! Enjoyed our stay very much!

Wasn't the cleanest space, looked like it hasn't been occupied for a while. Lots of spider web around the bed, in the toilet and other places, soap in the toilet was empty, washing up liquid almost empty and no real sponge or anything to wash the dishes with. Could also use a frying pan. Great location for taking walks in the area but this garden is just by the road, and even though you can't see the road, it's not as quiet we we would've liked.
