Very clean, spacious, peaceful cottage in a great location for exploring the Northumberland coast. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like logs. We received a friendly welcome and appreciated the provisions.

The unit had all stood catering facilities you could need,with some treats left for us. 2 bathrooms were good as was washing machine & dryer Only small drive from city centre.

"Owners partying next door into the early hours didnt make for a great stay."

It was close to where we wanted to be

I had to tick a box when booking this accommodation to say I wasn’t holding an event/party at the property, which I was totally fine with. Ironic that the owners of the property who live next door had a party the weekend we were there and had loud music still playing beyond 2 am into the early hours. The owners next door should have blocked out the property from being rented that weekend really, it just showcased a typical example of hypocrisy ‘do as I say not as I do’ and the owners wanting their cake (their party) and eating it (also the rental income from the property), without consideration for their paying guests. The owners have to be contacted upon arrival to get access to the property which your not made aware of until after booking. Straight away you feel like you’re being watched and makes relaxing a bit more difficult. I think the set up lacks an openness and transparency about it. I don’t usually leave good or bad reviews at any property I stay at but since I’ve been communicated to and invited to leave a review, this is honest feedback. I did take videos as evidence of the noisy party but there is no option to upload video here only photos. Regards Roddy.
