"Little gem great location for Kingston"

Location, fully equipped, parking, garden ,clean & tidy, a very nice flat

Bathroom sink drains very slowly, not being able to use other taps while in the shower as temperature of water changes

"Lovely apartment"

Beautiful apartment in great location. Well equipped and nicely decorated.

We had a problem with the central heating which was supposed to be operated by sensors. There was no heating on in the evening at all and there was a sign on the boiler saying not to adjust the heating. After our stay we were contacted for feedback, made this point and were informed that we should have called the landlord so she could adjust the heating “via her app”. There was no mention of this anywhere in the literature or on the bookings page and the host did not tell us at the time. If you stay in cold weather, make sure you ask.

"We travelled for work and stayed in one of the apartments for 8 days."

I appreciated the landlord answering her messages immediately whenever we had a question etc.

Three things was challenging in this apartment. The apartment had no closets, just some hangers behind the door which made it difficult to keep my formal work clothes wrinkle free for 8 days. My room had no mirror in it and the bathroom only had a small hand help mirror which was challenging for blow-drying hair. The passage way mirror was a decent size but no wall socket underneath it. The cord of the apartment hair dryer is quite short so you need to sit down while drying hair and the wall socket next to the sofa was not working. The central heating is motion detected and was more off than on, including the towel rail in the bathroom. It seems to activate with constant movement around the kitchen only. Checking emails in bed very early morning, the heating stops working before my cup of tea was finished. Same happened in the evening. Towels could not dry properly at night. We did ask for fresh towels once and it was delivered the next day.

"Good value; landlady approachable: rectifying niggles would make an exceptional flat for four."

Tranquil, clean, well-decorated flat close to extensive walks in Bushy Park and 20 minutes walk into Kingston and riverside. Or frequent (Oyster card) bus service accessed along same short (5 min walk) to Hampton Wick station (via back gate) with frequent (Oyster card) trains to Waterloo (35min trip) and helpful ticket office staff (until 1345hrs Mon - Sat). Useful local store there. Well-appointed kitchen; rubbish disposal to collection bins easy - daily if necessary. Space in lobby for clothes horse (plenty of washing m/c liquid but no pegs!) Both bedrooms had window blinds PLUS curtains with adequate drawer space and wall hooks with hangers (no wardrobes). Beds too soft for us but a matter of taste - we slept OK. Outside dining possible in summer but not attempted in October during our stay. Parking space (non-allocated) appeared available (not used by us)

A few niggles: Insufficent spot lighting over couch in living / dining room: dining table benches uncomfortable for prolonged sitting (adequately lit table). Stair lobby lighting outside flat is motion-activated(?) and came on briefly at all times of the night - all flat doors are glazed and all rooms thereby illuminated despite blinds on doors glass. (Jet lag made it more noticeable.) Bath awkward to exit (high sided) lacking grab handle (exiting 'in reverse' was safer !) One bedroom door permanently swung open and lacked a latching mechanism but easily wedged shut from inside.
