Waste management was a bit confusing and constrained

When we first arrived there was a car parked on our drive. It made parking tricky. On calling the company they contacted the people staying in the neighbouring property and asked their to move their car off our drive.

I don't feel the host acts on comments made customers even though it has a very negative impact on the stay. I stayed in March 2025. The kitchen table had an awful sticky residue. This needed far more than just a good clean. We had to put bin bags on the table to be able to sit at it. Looking at previous reviews, this had been the case since Oct 24. For 10 of us there were only 2 forks. Looking back at old reviews this was a issue in Jan 2024! I contacted them to make them aware of the following problems with the property. 1. There are only 2 forks - last night we had to mostly eat our food with spoons 2. The table has an awful residue on it and makes it sticky. We had to cover it with bin bags to sit at it and play games. 3. The smoke alarm in the top bedroom was beeping. Someone had already taken it off because it was off the wall already. 4. There was a frame on the windowsill in the top bedroom. This is broken. When we were looking for the beeping, noise we touched the frame and it fell to pieces. We think it must have been previously broken and put back together loosely. 5. This one isn't essential but there was only 1 wine glass. I'd ideally expect there to be more given the size of the property. Just be wary of booking with this property if you are expecting a comfortable stay.

House was perfect for us , it had everything we needed all I would say is that it sleeps 11 people and there were only 4 mugs so cups of tea were on a rota basis We just had one small drama when we arrived as our booking said number 13 and we were greeted by a slightly alarmed man who was living in it , however luke at stay host was brilliant and it was quickly sorted , we were in number 14 The house was clean and warm and we had a great weekend. It would of been great if we could of had access to a sweeping brush just for the kitchen floor mostly . I would recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful house. Practical for our group who travelled from Scotland for a friends 40th birthday. Rooms are small but comfortable although very warm. Weĺl stocked tea, coffee, dishwasher tablets ect. Lock box was handy as we didn't need to worry about 1 person having the key. Whatsapp contact for any issues was also easy.

Upstairs shower was blocked. They came out to fix it next morning but it was still blocked. Also went to turn down the dial on radiator outside the livingroom and it fell off the wall. Not handy when we had a 2 year old in the house. Again was reported to the host. Found a couple of things under the sofas and in the bathroom that were missed by housekeeping but only minor. 2 suggestions I would make is 1 to possibly have a removable stairgate option for any families. Also an accessible vacuum would of been good as I like to clean up after myself when staying in lodges/house air bnbs but couldn't do it.

Cleanliness of kitchen. No tin opener. No bin bags.

It had everything we needed, from shower gel to towels. The house was lovely and clean. We couldn’t fault it !

Keys where on the property in a keysafe and so accessiblity was great.
