"Underwhelming! Loud and noisy street outside. Fridge doesn't work. Not much hot water, TV a pain!"

5.0

Wifi was great! Lots of pillows and towels, and coffee in the kitchen. Theres a great wood fire pizza place across the street and on the other side some really good Gourmet Hamburgers. Bit of a walk to the center of town however. My suggestion is that if this place is going to be rented out on a nightly basis at the price it is, it needs regular maintenance and some thick double pained windows and blackout curtains. I wanted to like this place but I am going to give an honest review. What a shame!

This was supposed to be a special romantic place for our last two nights in Merida. hahaha...what a letdown! It looked like a boutique apartment. The photos make it look beautiful. The street noises will ruin any romance, hahaha! The first two reviews were 10's! On arriving there were no little welcome gifts or messages or instructions on how to use anything. The little plunge pool was too cold to use. I was hoping we could have put hot water in it. :( The TV is monsterously difficult to figure out and I'm good with that kind of stuff. We never could get any channels working and Youtube worked but kept freezing and we had to restart over and over! I was able to connect my laptop to it and watch my NFL games however and it has a nice big screen. The fridge didn't work and some of our food went bad. All that was bad enough but the final straw for me was that the hot water in the shower only lasts about a minute, and then you have to turn it off and wait another minute! No hot water for shaving in the sink either. If you plan on staying here bring an Alexa with white noise. The bedroom is right on the street and buses make loud noises from early morning into night. No idea what the metal hooks on the walls were for. I was thinking a prison. My wife wished we had just stayed at the cheap hotel we were at the first few days in Merida.
