Very Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the High Price We were very disappointed with our stay at this apartment, especially considering we paid £231 per night. From the moment we arrived, there were multiple issues that made the experience uncomfortable and far below expectations. The most serious issue was the cockroach infestation—every time we opened a window in the evening, cockroaches would come in. This made the balcony completely unusable, which was one of the main reasons we booked the apartment. The interior was very dated, with old, worn-out furniture and some kitchen equipment in poor condition that clearly needed replacing. A cheap wooden lamp (worth about £10) and a wobbly drying rack were accidentally damaged during our stay, and we were shocked when we were told we’d be charged £75 for them. However, after we questioned the cost, they decided not to charge us. Still, the attempt to charge that amount felt unreasonable for items of such low quality. We were also sent photos of the floor, which I cleaned daily, and told it wasn’t clean—another unfair complaint. Even more concerning, the balcony door couldn’t be locked, which was a major safety issue for us since we were travelling with our autistic son, who requires constant supervision. Overall, the apartment did not live up to the listing or the price tag. It was a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this property—especially to families.
