Sleepy Hollow on the River

We had everything we needed in the house. The kitchen had all items we needed to cook and grill.

The only thing we didn't like was the TV functions did not work properly. But it was ok because we played games which was available in the house.

Beautiful cabin with the little river just outside. Great for our family of grown kids and a baby. Close to town, but quiet and private. Easy parking, safe and comfy! Loved it!

Location on the river. Nice area to walk around.

Microwave to small. Appliances were all very old. Pillows were terrible.

The location of the place was nice, and I enjoyed that it was walking distance to downtown 😄. Outside view was beautiful. Easy to get around town. It did have a washer and dryer, which was awesome for being there for 3-4 nights. The Foosball table was great for the kids. The space throughout the house was nice and fit 8 of us perfectly. I loved the amount of extra towels each room had. as well as a few extra in the one closet.

The house overall did not seem to be cleaned very well. It looked well put together on the surface. however, after a while, we noticed Cobwebs were all over the house and just seemed very dusty if it had not been dusted or wiped down properly. It was almost as if the house hadn't been rented in months before us coming in. The blinds, window seals, some of the furniture. The main bedroom upstairs my mom found old bra and underwear stuffed in the bed When she removed the sheets. So that was an unsettling feeling of not very clean. We couldn't get the TV in the upstairs bedroom to work at all, and even the DVD's didn't play all the way through. In the instructions manuel for the hot tub, it said to fill the hot tub if needed. There was a hose and water spout for it on the side of the house. Unfortunately, the water spout had the water hose near it, but it wouldn't turn on , like the water was turned off outside the house or it was a dummied water spout. The set of keys to the house did not open the water box either. So we had to use pots and pans filled from the sink to add a bit more water to the hot tub.

House was great for our annual trip with our four grands ages 10-14. Foosball and hot tub and stream kept everyone busy.

Only two concerns; Back yard should be mowed like the neighbors. The grass was literally 3 feet tall making most of the area up to the stream unusable. Caution; Washing machine seemed to only was using hot water.
