Stonegate Lodge 2 Queen Beds WIFI TV Salt Water Pool Fire Pits #303

We stayed at Stonegate Lodge 3 years ago & really liked the rustic/woodsy vibe of the place. The new owners have made a few good changes like adding a Keurig coffee maker & upgrading the pool area. Enjoyed the complimentary oatmeal & fresh bottled water too.

Our biggest complaint is the very loud air conditioning unit that literally kept us up all night!! It was very hot when we visited and thankfully I had brought several ice packs with me as I had to turn the AC unit off and fall asleep with an ice pack!! The noise machine in the room couldn’t even drown out the noise of the unit!! Even my earbuds with soothing music couldn’t drown it out!! The next day was even hotter and we had to go buy earplugs so we could sleep that night!! Is this the reason why this place is so reasonably priced?? I can’t imagining it would be!! The owners really need to do something about this and I noticed several units leaking!! Moving on, it would really help to have someone at the front desk as people were asking us about that and even we had questions about the area!! What would we do if there was a real emergency???!!!??? Send a message through booking.com?? I get that we’re living in the “tech age” but this is ridiculous!!

I did not want those three men cleaning in my room to fix these problems at all but where do I start! I have pictures of our stay! We took them right when we walked in because we were so disappointed. The freeze that is iced over, the fridge that has had something spilled in the bottom and never cleaned up! No toilet paper in the room! The mildew growing in the tub, the coffee and other stains around the coffee pot. Broken coffee mug, floors dirty, large gap at door where flies and cigarette smoke came in ( I had to use towel to try to keep it out), comforters were dirty did not use, I comforter had a tear in it, shower curtain dirty, did not touch, in the ridges on the tables so gross with food and junk. I could just keep going on and on!!! We stayed here because your reviews said that this is place was so clean. We will be giving this horrible rating. My husband notice it and he is a guy who goes with the flow! We had to walk by cigarette smoke just to get to room! We could not sit out front and enjoy the great weather because everyone was smoking outside and my husband is a throat cancer survivor. So disappointing…😞😞😞😞Also, Friday evening the smoker was playing such loud music outside the room we could not hear our tv or talk. Got up Saturday morning and our room just smelled so so bad of cigarette smoke and all our stuff. I can barely breathe. I have never rated a place before.

The location was great. The host was easy accessible through Booking and answered questions/replies promptly. Clean rooms and nice decor.

I wished the deck area by the pool had fans. Would have also been nice if the rooms had fans for air circulation.

The amenities and setup was so much fun when we just wanted to relax with kids after a long day. We swam in pool, enjoyed the fire and played cornhole. Even though the city had the water shut off when we first arrived, there was fantastic communication from the host, despite an extended delay. What could’ve been easily a horrible experience was made wonderful with communication and a well-maintained property. Pet policy is awesome for animal lovers!

Seriously no complaints.

The room was so clean and I loved all the attention to details giving a new but rustic cabin vibe!

The beds were a tad bit hard for my choosing, but I still slept really well.
