Avani Plus Fares Maldives Resort

Pros: • Excellent food — truly a highlight of the stay. • The hotel itself is new, modern, and beautifully designed. • The service in the restaurants was top-notch. • The reef is incredible! If you’re coming for snorkeling, this is the place. We saw turtles four times and manta rays almost daily. There’s even a resident manta ray near the water villas.

Butler service was extremely disappointing. Our butler often replied only after a day or more, and even simple issues took 2–3 days to resolve. We had to constantly follow up ourselves. • The condition of our room was not acceptable for a hotel of this level — the ventilation system was exposed, there were no slippers, and the toilet door was broken. Once closed, it would lock from the inside, trapping the person inside. • Departure management was chaotic. The hotel works with Manta Air, which was a terrible experience. Our seaplane was delayed by 1.5 hours, and the hotel staff simply shrugged and said it wasn’t their responsibility. We ended up missing our connecting flight. Instead of allowing us to stay at the hotel and catch a proper flight the next day, we were just pushed out as if it wasn’t their concern. When we complained, we were told the same thing happened the day before and the day before that — clearly, this is a recurring issue. Why partner with an airline that delays every single day?

High prices for the activities and also they didn’t have many options

Me and my wife had a nice stay at Avani+. Staff arranged our transport to and from the resort by seaplane and everything was smooth. The island is beautiful and the ocean amazing, you can see a lot of marine life just in the resort. Accomodation was great, cleaned twice a day with a friendly and helpful staff. We weren't bored, there's so much to do - organizee events, sport facilities, they even borrow you the equipment for free. Only downside we experienced was the food and drinks - which were average in my opinion. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed every part of it.

Experience in Avani + We are a couple that travel every year to Maldives in different resorts always for long stays, this time was our first time Avani + and was an amazing surprise, we can walk around the island and choose wish type of room fits you, the beach isn’t full of guest, nice for snorkeling, is truly an peace of paradise on earth, this time we stay shortly because an personal accident my wife broke a leg sleeping on stairs 4 days before our departure. The support of resort staff was perfect, medical center, management director Mr Judd and also Mrs Murey and Rashiid, were extremely helpful to arrange all emergency procedures, first was transported to Baa Atoll hospital by boat to X-ray and be prepared to return home, first to Male by hidroplane and than to Portugal by ourselves. In Europe the doctors said that Maldivian hospital and resort medical center made everything correct. So don’t be afraid to go to Maldives even something goes wrong we get appropriate support in worst case scenarios. The resort is wonderful and being there is excellent and unforgettable we fully recommend and thank for all to be save at home again. We will be back soon.

The staff are so friendly and professional this makes the place

Rooms with adjoining doors are not soundproof ! No real privacy if your room is in the ground floor due to people walking in front of your land for beach chairs ! Too many Russians on this resort for my liking rude and arrogant towards staff which ruined the atmosphere
