No 4 Portpatrick B&B

The property is absolutely stunning with the prettiest rooms and everything done to the highest standards.

We loved everything, not a single bad word to say about this property or the hosts!!

The room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The location was very central and convenient for the pub for meals etc. Parking was at the front door

Breakfast set us up perfectly for the day. Room was spacious and luxurious. We were made to feel comfortable by perfect hosts

I believe we had room number 1, overlooking the cliffs, a pretty pitch and put, and views of the seafront of Portpatrick. Beautiful large bay windows provided an expansive view and a lovely place to kick back and relax. Parking was easy, on the street right outside. Granted our visit was somewhat in the off-season, or coming into it, I would imagine this town is booming in high season and would expect ease of access may change (This is why we always try and travel off-season, miss the hoards:). Breakfast was excellent, my partner and I are vegetarian and my parents are not (who also stayed), we had so many options and everything we tried was superb!

Everything was great, even the water heater for the building that went out was fixed in a timely fashion.

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts Home made shortbread in room each day on a excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate tray and every morning freshly cooked breakfast excellent quality produce with homemade bread, potato scones, jams & marmalade Clean and superior quality bed, bedding , towels, hand & shower Gels Free water and fresh milk in fridge in hallway which you can use to keep your own drinks cold (wine beer) Simon & Cathy use glass containers to keep plastic eat a minimum which is always good and go above and beyond to make your stay extra special We rate this B&B 5 STAR PLUS

There’s absolutely nothing not to like !!

The location, not on the front, but adjacent. Within walking distance of restaurants. Spotlessly clean.

I booked No4 because of the reviews and the photos, also described in the advert as deluxe. I was disappointed when we arrived to find us in a downstairs back room, looking out to weeds and a log stack. The kettle in the room didn't fit under the tap in the ensuite, we had to go out to the hall to collect water in a bottle to make tea. The T bags, sugar, coffee and biscuits were all in glass containers which were difficult to open. There wasn't anything wrapped. The breakfast was a disappointment, considering what had been paid. No fresh fruit, no fruit juice, no yoghurt, only cereal to begin. We were offered a orange or apple drink. The portions weren't plentiful, with one egg, one slice of bacon, one sausage, one black pudding.

Site very central and loved the view from our window. Hosts were friendly and could not ask for anything more.

No complaints.

Welcomed on early arrival by Simon, rooms were ready for us so able to check in early & get settled. Clean, comfy room with plenty space to move around & all facilities to make our stay a relaxing experience.
