81 Newport Boulevard Newport City Cluster 4 - 8F First impressions a sad looking unit. Old uncomfortable furniture, dirty looking 50'style shag pile rug, old mixture of cups, plates, pans, etc. Old off-white gray towels. Yuk. Previous occupants dishes and pans still on sink drainer. No kitchen tea towel. Previously used sheets and towels in kitchen cupboard. Dirty cleaning cloths and bathmat left on balcony aircon unit. The promoted smart tv did not work. Building Maintenance men said one of the 3 attached boxes was broken. Attempts to contact the caretaker host, or the unit owner failed. Apart from that the tv was located in lounge not visible from bed!!! No bedside table. Switch in bed area did not work which meant using lounge area switch. Very inconvenient. All lights were old style incandescent, low wattage, giving low light. No LED'S. Low table in lounge area missing, replaced by old fold out iron framed bed settee. Washing machine missing. Infested with Cockroachs seen throughout, in bathroom, kitchen and bedroom ( 2 species). Although close to airport you have to walk an unattractive 2 blocks for a taxi and any retail, restaurant premises NB Airport taxi drivers are reluctant to take this fare asking 300 - 500Pesos for a very short trip. Reality is nothing like the pictures. However owner did call me back from her newly checked in hospital bed! Promised to get host person onto TV problem. Doubt it will be fixed during my stay of 4 nights. V disappointing. Stuck there for 4 nights due the no refund policy. Contacted owner who gave oblique excuses but no refund.

Good kitchen facilities

Unorganised staff who didn’t care about safety. Blankets were stained and air con was unable to be turned off.

Very close to airport

Had to wait almost 1 hour until we received the key. We have sent our landing time of the plane. Still had to wait ages for the key. We just stopped to sleep a few hours. Therefore the waiting time is very annoying
