Host gave us a tour of his forest farm land and trees he planted. indeed educational for us city folks. We bought dinner and breakfast from host. Wife made use of ingredients from her farm together with the colours of the autumn 🍂. delicious and beautiful presented. we also had a good time getting to know his 4 children.

Situated on a farm surrounded by nature, it was a tranquil place. Our accommodations were comfy; a private room with traditional futons. We shared the rest of the home with the family and were made to feel like family.

I have nothing negative to say about our stay.

It is a farm, off the road, the family is laughing a lot, the kids are kind and lively, the hosts charming, the food excellent, so there is nothing we didn’t like!

I like the guesthouse is surrounded by the nature, the closest train station is Asamushi station, it’s about 5-6 stops away from Aomori station. The guesthouse owner Taku can offer pick-up/drop-off at Asamushi station. BTW, Asamushi is famous for onsen(hot spring). Since the house is in the middle of nature so there’s no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, but you can purchase dinner and breakfast, Taku’s wife, Kaori, makes very delicious and healthy food, must try it!

I loved everything about my stay here. The family who own the farm are absolutely lovely, they made sure I was comfortable and warm during my time there. The location was remote, but beautiful and so photogenic. I really loved being taken for a walk in the surrounding area and seeing all the wildlife and fruits grown at the farm. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from all the noise of the city and just relax. Also, wow, the bed was maybe the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! It was like sleeping on a marshmallow!

The host family is beyond lovely and the room super comfortable, even if a bit cold, which is to be expected in an old farm house. Breakfast was farm fresh and lovingly prepared!

It's a bit out of the way

Very lovely couple and their adorable kids welcomed us warmly. We purchased breakfast and dinner for 2 nights, they were absolutely fantastic with locally sourced fresh ingredients.

This place is perfect for guests who are coming with no plans other than to enjoy the nature surrounds this place. But if you have your days already planned out like we did might encounter some difficulties. You are staying in a part of a family house, and are sharing one shower and one toilet with the family of 6 (with 4 school-age children). You can imagine the bathroom rush in the morning when you are trying to get on your schedule. We carried cash just enough for small expenses such as transportation and shopping. Since there was no option to pay for the meals ahead of time upon booking, we weren't expecting credit card not being accepted. It was quite a bit of unexpected challenge. It would be nice if such crucial info was disclosed on website and/or prepayment was offered?
