It was a lovely old beautifully restored property. The communal kitchen was very useful and very tastefully renovated. Would like a kitchen like that at home. Towels were changed every 2 days which was nice. Information to enter was clear and easy.

There wasn’t a chest to put clothes in we found we had to keep things in our bag that couldn’t be hung up. The beds on our sun roof we couldn’t use as they were so uncomfortable and no working sunshade. The sun beds in the communal area were a little more comfortable.. The whole place was tasteful and very enjoyable to stay in. If we go back to Faro we would definitely book again.

The location is fantastic, really close to the old town and everything you might need, including restaurants, shops, and bars. There’s also a handy shop right on the corner for snacks and drinks, which was super convenient. The room itself was great. The kitchen had everything we needed (toaster, fridge, kettle, etc all Smeg appliances.), and the beds were very comfortable, I personally loved the softer mattress. Everything was very clean, and the space felt really well put together. We stayed in a room with a balcony and absolutely loved it, so I’d definitely recommend choosing one if you can. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing, with stylish Zara Home furnishings, and we appreciated the large mirror. Ours had two air conditioning units (bedroom and kitchen), which made a big difference, and the blackout windows were excellent for keeping the room dark while sleeping. We didn’t end up using the TVs, but there are two, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen area.

We stayed in the upstairs apartment with the balcony, but unfortunately it was quite noisy throughout our stay. You could clearly hear cars passing by, kids running down the corridors, and even full conversations from other guests late at night, along with doors slamming. If you’re a light sleeper or hoping for a lie-in, it’s worth bringing some good earplugs. There were also a few practical issues. When using the standing shower, water tended to spill out onto the bathroom floor, leaving the area outside quite wet. The bathroom has a sliding door, which doesn’t provide much sound insulation, something to keep in mind if you’re using it during the night. Additionally, the pool didn’t feel particularly clean during our stay, as there were bugs and debris in it.
