Kent Haven - 3 bed house, Games room and Parking

Clean, comfortable and spacious house in a peaceful area, providing value for money. Host was very nice and check in/check out process was smooth.

This property was not as pictured. We had travelled all the way from Brighton to stay in this house and planned the whole weekend around this accommodation. With in 5 minuets of arriving we was on the phone to the host complaining. The house was dirty, not as fresh and clean as advertised. The walls are covered in scuffed marks, the garden is littered with many cigarette butts and the grass in the garden and outside the house was over grown. The floors had not been cleaned and sofa was covered in bread crumbs. The skirtings are filthy and all touch points dusty. We called the host to complain and he sent a cleaner round, she arrived with in 10 minutes of us calling and arrived with 2 micro fiber cloths and 1 bottle of surface spray. She was confrontational and did not understand what we was unhappy with. We showed her the dirty sofa which she confirmed she had missed when cleaning this morning, showed her the over grown fag covered grass to which she said wasn’t her area, dirty floors, skirting boards etc. we asked numerous times what the cleaning procedure was and why the property was so run down. Her response was “we do deep cleans quarterly”. I followed her upstairs when she went to clean the bathrooms which was the first complaint of ours and she sprayed the bathroom floor with surface cleaner and wiped it with a damp cloth. She then proceeded to clean the house with the same 2 cloths. She and the I host were unapologetic and did not seem to care that we had travelled 2 hours and paid £327 for a weekend in this house. Not only was the house and garden a mess but the pool table only had 1 pool stick and not even enough balls to play a fair game!! This accommodation is not worth the money and I am so upset at what we were faced with on Friday the 27th when we arrived. After a lot of hassle & tears the host offered me a refund of £260. He took my details and for over 40 minuites then ignored my calls.

Comfy, clean bedding and towels, spacious.

Kitchen utensils lacking - no masher, colander or scissors.

Spacious and clean.

The heating in the room was bearly hot.
