The Coast 1 by Tiny Away

I liked how quiet it was.

Beautiful quiet spot outside Westport.

Room and kitchen facilities could have been cleaner (dishes had dried food on). No teabags, which is a pretty standard inclusion at all accommodation. No instructions on how to use the hot plate, so that was unusable despite being provided. No information booklet on the area, which is again pretty standard, and would have been nice. We stayed there in very high gale-force winds, and while that was just a freak of nature, the cabin felt pretty insecure and was extremely noisy so we didn't sleep. Overall it was a nice place to stay but the lack of attention to detail meant it wasn't great value.

Amazing location ! Very tiny but ok for one night and the view on the beach!

Lovely location with good access to beach with beautiful sunset. Nice views across to hills. Vehicle access is through 2 gates over grass that could have been a problem in heavy rain. Cleaning could have been better, evidence of dog hair in the corners. Poor lighting for doing the dishes.

Comfy bed , sea close but had hoped for a view

It was ok but neighbours walk within metres of us .. no tea coffee milk Door jam in wrong place, partner caught his fingers needing plasters. Front step unsafe and tipped up

A decided lack of signage off the main highway. There was no sign for "Jones Creek Road", nothing on the mail-boxes, so I followed Google maps, and found the 3 wooden gates as described by the host. I cycled past the first one, (onto his private lawn), and found 2 more to get through, spotting the edge of the tiny house across the lawn.

More signage - it can still be discrete - and I suppose I expected a view of the coast. The surf is super loud on this bit of coast, so locating the tiny house some way away is sensible. An awning or something to provide some protection from the rain outside the front door would be appropriate in this area. There was no Tea-towel, so I could wash the dishes as requested, but left them to dry. Not sure if this is realistic, but I expected a small selection of tea/coffee/milk on arrival. My wonderful host provided some soon after I contacted him. NB I was travelling by bike, so had limited carrying capacity, and didn't spot the shop in the previous village. (It was off the main road).

We didn't want to leave this place. It had everything we needed. We didn't realise just how close it was to the beach - around 50m, which was amazing. Such a quiet and peaceful location. Chris was really friendly when we checked in.
