Very basic kitchen facilities - no kitchen towels, serving dishes, and very few & small plates and bowls. Some kitchen utensils not clean - old food residue, grease and water found in & on utensils and kitchenware. Fridge freezer smelt of sour milk. Minimal cleaning products - only a used washing up sponge, cloth and half a bottle of hand washing detergent. Very minimal cooking essentials (an almost empty jar of salt). We had to go to the supermarket and buy basic cleaning products, cooking essentials (salt, pepper, oil), and toiletries, all of which should have been provided. Boiler was not switched on arrival with instructions on how to turn on. Kitchen hob not plugged in with no instructions on how to connect. Connecting plug socket was loose from wall. No bin liners / outside bin space. No bathroom toiletries. Multiple cracks on bathroom surfaces and floor tiles. No welcome pack / house instructions The location is very remote, and on arrival there were no supermarkets open to buy essential supplies including drinking water. The host did not respond directly to any of my messages once we arrived at the property. The host refused to pay for our time spent cleaning the property on arrival, and expenses for obtaining and purchasing basic facilities that were supposed to be included (cleaning products, toiletries and cooking essentials). We ended up leaving the property early due to the poor standard of accommodation. The host refused to pay any compensation.
