Turtle Lodges 29 - Riverside

Everything about this property was perfect for my stay. Well maintained and presented, very well equipped (Ninja air fryer and Nescafé Dulce Gusto coffee maker with pods included were a special bonus) and really clean, good quality bed linen and comfy bed. Lovely quiet aspect overlooking the river, good outdoor furniture and a secure deck area for the dogs

Just one teeny tiny annoyance that the battery operated clock above the bedroom door ticks really loudly when it’s so quiet at night

The wildlife surrounding the lodge is beautiful, the hosts were informative and very responsive when we stupidly couldn’t find a light switch! The lodge had everything you could possibly want in the kitchen and there was an huge selection of games that the kids loved, the feel of the lodge is cosy.

We have zero complaints!

Lovely location

Nothing it was great

Cabin is absolutely lovely, so clean and modernised, and the view is amazing. This cabin had a lot of board games, even a coffee machine, and a nice tidy size frezzer has every utensil you will ever need. It even has a ninja cooker in there to which is a bonus! Had a lovely sized bedroom and a little room beds are very comfy also! Their welcome pack has all the information you would and will need, e.g., fishing,maps of the towns layout, and recommended restaurants aswell!

I didn't realise that number 30 (the owners other cabin next to ours) would have the main wifi rota, and 29 (this cabin) would only have the booster plug for it! the wifi connection was awful. If we went further than the kitchen, we wouldn't have any wifi connection i personally didn't mind, but my son who asd has his tab to calm himself down and to help regulate his emotions so that was tricky! The dogs bowls could be a bit bigger. i have a medium-sized dog and 1 gulp of water, and it was gone! 😅

This was our 2nd visit to Caer Beris lodges, but the first time in this lodge. The lodge is one of the older ones on site, but don't let that put you off. It's right beside the river, and we saw a variety of birds, including kingfishers diving into the water. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and equipped with additional touches such as a dolce gusto coffee machine and an air fryer. A relaxing and peaceful place. The small single bedroom is suitable for a child, but a larger built adult would struggle. That said, my 24 year old daughter slept well in there. She just couldn't keep clothes or get dressed in there. TV had access to Netflix too.

It's unfortunate that the new owners of the Caer Beris Manor have blocked the bridge access to their grounds as this was the start of a lovely riverside walk. This is in no way anything to do with the owners of this lodge, though, and totally out of their hands.
