A's Place - Your Private Resort!

The hosts were really amazing. From picking me up at the airport, to dropping me off at the ferry terminal. The owner gave me a Tiki Tour upon arrival through Dumaguete, pointing out various places of interest. The place is out of Dumaguete and Valencia, in the hills. You would need a moped for getting around. I liked the serenity of the place, only noises coming from animals and insects. Not everybody's cup of tea, but suited me, to relax.

It's 2 storeys. Since I have a heart condition, climbing stairs was an exercise for me! Ha But all good. Shower had at times low pressure, but hey, it didn't really matter.

I had a great stay at Adrian's place and he was also a great host. He's been super helpful from pickup/drop-off, scooter rental, driving me around to giving advice with activities. He and Jen went as far as giving me medecine when I got sick. The house itself was clean and well equipped with good bedding in a peaceful environment. The swimming pool was also a great commodity. I can't recommend enough staying there for a few days

A’s Place is a great spot for a quick getaway! The pool is clean, and the jacuzzi is a nice touch. The kitchen is accessible, and the peaceful location is perfect if you enjoy a quiet stay. It’s a bit far from Valencia Plaza, but great for walking. The owner is approachable, and we'll definitely go back!

This place is amaizing. Here you can be far away from all the noise and distraction! Also Adriaan and his wife are wonderful hosts🙂 They did everything they could to make me feel at home. Also you can watch some good football with Adriaan!

It was absolutely delightful staying in the highlands above Valencia. The town was only a short ride or drive away but the location was semi rural and a chance to enjoy a slower pace. There's a road cyclists' cafe nearby that makes great coffee and waffles. Waterfalls are nearby. The hosts at A's Place were very thoughtful, organising a scooter for me and offering great suggestions of what to see and do. The accommodation was private, the bed was so comfy and the pool and kitchen, amazing.

I felt very lucky staying at this self contained accommodation, and with the hosts close by to answer any of my needs. Being a more remote location, the roads were being worked on, so it was a bit tricky getting in and out, but a lovely experience to be off busy streets and asphalt and the farm animals were friendly!

Billiard inside the house saved our stay, that was good. The view over the mountains from balcony is very nice. They arraged scooter rent and transportation from/to Dumaguete. Swimming pool condition was good, wifi was good, kitchen was ok.

The worst thing there was no privacy, as an apartment is connected to the host house, didn’t feel very confortable in the swimming pool. The road to get to apartment is very dusty and rocky, not easy to drive scooter. Water issues during brown out, didn’t provide any bucket of water even for toilet use. Nowhere to sit really comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay at A's place. The location is quiet in a small forest. The apartment is on two floors. The kitchen is downstairs and the bedroom with bathroom is upstairs. From there you have access to the outside terrace with a whirlpool. The swimming pool is right in front of the apartment. Everything is clean and well-kept. But the best thing is the host Adrian. He is super friendly and even invited me to dinner with his wife and his staff. He has lots of tips for things to do in the area. I will definitely come back.
