The perfect New Forest / coastal base. Sleeps 9.

The Location

The kitchen was very dirty so we did not use it at all. There was food left in the fridge and freezer and unwashed cups in the sink.. We poured a whole bottle of bleach down the sink because the smell was awful it ruined the stay. The door way between the kitchen and the dinning part leaked water when the shower was in use. The decor was dirty and grubby.

The house is in the centre of Lymington close to the marina, train station and shops. The house is spacious with a well equipped kitchen and lovely long dining table.

A word of caution. The staircase to the second floor is steep with a rope handrail. The house is old so there are small steps between rooms. The 10cm step between the dining room and lounge area does not have hazard tape and it is easy to trip. We appreciated the 2 parking time clocks and found the correct 20hour car parks. It is unclear in the car parks if you can just change the start time on the clock if you are parking for more than 20hours.. We repositioned the car in the same carpark.

The house was warm and very comfortable. The kitchen was really well equipped, and the bathrooms all worked perfectly.

Car access was a little difficult, which made arriving and leaving with 5 small children and two dogs a little complex, but not anything to impact the overall enjoyment of our stay.

A wonderful location within easy walking distance of lovely pubs and restaurants. Easy driving into the New Forest. The house was warm, comfortable and clean.
