No.3 The Old Coach House

The apartment is located very centrally in Blockley, right next to the church, the cafe and the shop. It is one of several in an old but renovated house, tastefully furnished, with a large living/dining/kitchen area, a spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and a small bathroom. The apartment was very clean. It was a bit cold with the heating on very low given the outside temperatures - but the host was quick to react when we contacted them in the issue. And also, as a general point to note: communication with the host was very good, always very quick to respond and very friendly.

Not much to say here, just a few things: There was no heating in the bathroom so given the cold outside temperatures it was really cold in there. The curtains didn't really suffice to block out the light, so it gets light very early - if you're used to sleeping in a dark room that could be a bit of a problem. All the windows face the church yard where a lot of people pass by during the day so with open shades you always felt a bit on display.

Location was good. Facilities on door step shop and Cafe.

Bed could have been bigger. It's on one level! not quite their is a large step to get into bedroom. Difficult if you struggle with stairs.

What we didn't like that we had to leave

A beautiful property, set in a picturesque location. Facilities were good for what we needed for a five day stay, and the cleanliness of the property was exceptional. We loved the interior and furnishings, which made the property feel homely and cosy. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and added to an already beautiful environment.

If we were to be super picky, we were unable to open the windows, so cooking smells did linger, despite the extractor fan ( this is a very minor issue and didn’t spoil our stay).
