There was a body odor in all 3 bedrooms (like a male or pet odor); not overpowering very subtle but still very apparent. Recommend maybe washing the comforters.

The location was great and the cabin was comfortable overall. We really enjoyed the hot tub, and the rooms were cozy and well set up. The kitchen appliances were helpful and made our stay more convenient, and the bathroom’s heated fans were a nice touch, they gave it a relaxing, sauna-like feel.

We weren’t able to fully enjoy the outdoor spaces in the evenings because the exterior lights weren’t working. Since it gets very dark at night, we couldn’t spend much time outside by the fire pit, on the porch, or on the deck and ended up staying indoors. We also had some issues with the TVs—two of them wouldn’t connect properly, so we were only able to use the living room TV and the one in the small bedroom. Also, we couldn’t figure out how to operate the electric fireplace, so we didn’t get to use that during our stay.

It was such a beautiful cabin and the inside was comfortable and quaint. It had all the amenities to us enjoy our stay.

I loved the location of Golden Eagle. It’s in such a peaceful and idyllic spot. The cabin was a great place to stay. It is very clean and comfortable and decorated so cute! It is also very close to downtown Blue Ridge where we had booked a train ride. The train was awesome and the town was great to explore.
