Cooking impossible with the oldest utensils I have seen. Washing machine is shared with the building and so it is not in the unit. Internet never did work in the unit, you had to be in the hallway. Details, dirty sponges and worn out cutting board. The cabinet kitchen is inaccessible making it hard to work with. Bed is extremely hard.

This is a charming studio, located very centrally but in a quiet street without traffic, which makes it ideal for exploring the city, everything is in a walking distance. It is just 10 min easy walk from the station, even with trolleys. The studio is a combination of old and new style, very clean, very cosy, with an artistic touch, which makes it really personal. There is also an extra small room behind the studio with a sofa and nice light for reading a book and having relaxed time. Our studio was on the second floor which means walking the stairs but it was not a problem because there is a lift for the luggage and chairs thoughfully arranged between the floors to have a rest for those who might need it. All facilites worked perfectly well. A bakery is just around the corner and a big supermaket within 5 min walk. Nicoletta is a wonderful, wonderful host, caring about everything. We had the room with a breakfast arrangement, and every morning there was a tray with fresh milk, fresh eggs, croissants, eggs etc. waiting for us on a table behind the door. This was perhaps one of the highlights of our stay. We never had such milk and such eggs in ages! All the city nicest restaurants were within 10 min walk from the studio. . We will most surely come back to this place, fell absolutely in love with it!

Internet was weak - but maybe that exactly helped for having an long desired internet detox:-)

Location was perfect and we had all we could possibly need.

We used the kitchen to make our own breakfasts and the occasional lunch. In every way the property was superb, both in its spaciousness and facilities, and in its proximity to the main historical area in Mantua. One slight problem was the poor Internet, however, and on our final morning we could not access it at all. Mantua itself is a real gem––full of historical interest, good shopping, and very polite and helpful people. The fact that it is rather off the beaten track was a big plus for us, as there were no crowds of tourists (unlike Florence!). Nicoletta herself was a very kind and gracious host, met us at the train station, and had a bottle of wine and a very tasty sbrisalone waiting for us. Fantastic!

Only the Internet, but that was a small problem and not a criticism of the property.

Nikki communicates very efficiently via WhatsApp. She allowed us to use bicycles from the garage downstairs, and this helped us see all the sights and shop from the supermarket. We didn’t realize that the apartment would be cleaned daily, (although the toiletries were not renewed). The sofa was a pull out bed. Wi-Fi was speedy and allowed video streaming.

The bikes could use some attention. Access to a can of chain oil would be helpful. A waste paper basket in the living room would be a nice touch.

Niki was outstandingly kind and helped us with all sorts of things. We could borrow bikes too The flat is very centrally located, but quiet - an easy walk to the town centre. It's a pretty, quirky flat but has all you could want. We would go back there any time.
