Restaurant&Rooms 035

We had 2 rooms booked , one of which was very spacious with a balcony. They were both very clean. We also had dinner at the restaurant downstairs which was most delicious. Moderately average for a stop-over.

Our stay there was a bit strange. The owner of the hotel was probably away , leaving a 17-year-old young man in charge whose level of English was extremely limited. At the beginning, he showed us to our room which upon entering we saw it was not that clean, had only one pillow, a toothbrush and somebody else's toiletries around as well as extra clothes. The young man said that this was our room and while trying to laugh out the whole situation as an adventure, there was a young woman entering our room thinking that we had broken in. A total mix-up. Upon calling the owner, the misunderstanding was worked out and we were shown to a new room which was ok.Later, upon asking the young man for breakfast the next day, we were told that there was nobody there to make us breakfast and they could make one after 10 - when the departure time was 10!!! The same happened when we had dinner when we were asked to leave at 9.30 because the young man and the person in the kitchen had to leave early. This came as a surprise to us, given the fact that we had read so many good reviews about the owner. So, we guessed he was probably away and the young man was not well trained.

We arrived a bit later than the official check-in time, but the hotel was flexible with that. Aircon in the room was also nice.

We were told that the restaurant was open until 10 pm, but when we arrived at 20:45, the restaurant was closed due to a celebration. They still managed to get us some fries though, so that was ok.
