The box concept is very cool and comfortable. You have enough space inside for you and your belongings and there is a fan and ventilation. Worth the money

The shower is fine but not very clean. Bad smell. There is no much space to sit but there is a cute coffee

I’d never stayed in a sleepbox hostel before, but now I’m hooked! It’s the perfect balance of privacy and community. Such a cool and innovative design!

Nice concept with secluded beds.. coffee was superb

I checked out but tried to book another night a few days later but the guy in the reception said it was fully booked. I found on booking it wasn't so booked again. Came back and when they wanted a deposit I realized I never got it back last time. Maybe that's why he didn't wanna book me again so I would find out. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that.

"The wooden bed capsules are comfy & quiet; the toilets are not great."

6.0

The wooden capsule bed area was cozy and comfortable. It had an air fan, a circulating fan set in the outer wall to exchange air so it didn't get stuffy, a comfortable bed topper, and generous storage space. Also, more headspace than in a bunk bed and three hooks to hang a towel or hand washing. There were three plug outlets, (so one was available for me to use after the fans were plugged in). I liked the wooden sliding door and personal lock & key; the wood blocked all noise. There's a small balcony area with 3 chairs and a tiny fridge. Drop-off laundry service in the lobby for overnight washing. They also gave you flip-flops for the shower. 10 minute walk to Night Market; and a good general grocery store right across the street, with lots of good restaurants nearby. OK Internet (like all of Laos, it drops off sometimes Fridays & Saturdays).

The toilets were a real deal breaker: two out of the four toilets were always clogged; sometimes the staff left little threatening notes. There's a horrible, steep, narrow 4-step stair more like a tilted ladder with no handrail to get down to the toilets. I'd hate to have intestinal distress and need to navigate that. Sometimes no TP in all four. The showers were only ok, never hot water, but at least always warm. The entry stairs were steep, narrow, tight, with each riser a different height, and no handrail. Also, if you're claustrophobic, the capsule space is only one inch wider than the single bed all around.
