GBThe lodge is in a really nice and quiet location making it perfect for the relaxation you expect from a lodge retreat.
The hot tub which was one of the main reasons we booked this lodge was very poorly installed on uneaven ground so when 4 adults are using it excessive water is lost. Barkers leisure passed the bame onto us saying we must have been splashing around. We were 4 adults who went to relax and our idea of fun is not splashing in a hot tub. This completely ruined our trip as it should have been 3 nights rest and recoup after a busy few months but after the first night we were unable to use the hot tub we waitiled all Saturday for this to warm up and it didn't so a wasted day/night. So on the Sunday morning we decided to cut our trip 24 hours short. Barkers Leisure should take responsibility of this and maybe level the position of the hot tub. They also advised we should have topped this up but there was no hose pipe attached to the tap on Friday night this was only attached by maintenance on Saturday morning. Stay away from Hornbeam 3 as you will have the same issue and the blame will be past.
