Woodview - cosy 1840s cottage in Chew Valley and Mendip AONB

The good cooker and kitchen utensils plus an excellent shower. The cottage was in a quiet location but with a good close by.

My wife found the armchairs not too comfortable. The tight spiral staircase required care.

The cottage had everything we needed and was in a lovely, peaceful location

Really lovely property with an excellent host. Located in a quiet village, but with good access to some of Somerset's top attractions via car. Comfy bed, clean property and plenty of amenities. A great place to stay.

If you are lucky enough you will have an encounter in life where you feel it can’t possibly be real…it feels more like a dream or something from a movie too good to be true…this is what it’s like staying with Rachel in her Compton Martin cottage. From the moment you turn up the lane you know that this is something special…Rachel is such a delightful host so enthusiastic to ensure your comfort and happiness, the cottage itself is magnificent!! Rachel had prepared a fire in the log burner allowing us to enjoy an evening in after the most magnificent meal out just down the lane at “ring O’ Bells pub…everything is five star from the kitchen to the bed which was sheer luxury to the shower and heated towels…if you are ever lucky enough to find yourself in this magnificent village do yourself a favour and book with Rachel…you will not regret it!

It’s not closer to home

Beautiful, comfortable house in a beautiful place.

We all (especially the dog) struggled with the spiral staircase.

It was self catering

A bit cold downstairs but we didn't light the fire.
