The View Guesthouse at Ekeberg -10 min by tram to Oslo S

The best parts about this property were the location, the view, and of course the super nice and friendly hosts. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area within easy tram access to the city, and walking distance to Ekeberg park and a couple of cafes and bakeries. (There is also an excellent grocery store, Jacob’s, nearby but it is currently undergoing renovations.)

As others have commented, just the “small stuff” (e.g. lack of soundproofing). I would also add that we would have liked a comfy place to sit and relax, as the only chairs are barstools at the table. That said, there really isn’t enough room to add a couch. Guests should be aware that this apartment is very compact, but for the two of us it was just fine for a short stay.

I like everything about this guesthouse and it was my third booking of if this time. I highly recommend Elmir and Evy who own the place, they are the nicest hosts I have ever met, always so kind and quick to respond on any message and request.

The big hole in the middle caused by the 2 single bedswhen you are a couple and like to sleep close.

In the general the atmosphere is awesome, the view is beautiful and the house itself is really cozy. Elmir is super helpful, always ready to provide tips for everything. He also prepared the stay earlier than the planned check in.

It was my second stay in the wonderful guesthouse, and I love the place! The hosts are so friendly and helpful, and they are always easy to get in contact with. The guesthouse has an amazing view over the fjord, and it’s a very cozy house. I think I like the bedroom on the 3th floor the most. It also has a view over the fjord and the beds are really good! Everything is clean and neat.

I really think this place is amazing! If I should mention anything it would be that you can’t place the shower head on a place on the wall. The guesthouse is placed in a very quiet area, but it isn’t so soundproof, so sometimes you can hear the hosts in the neighbour house, but it’s all details!

The place was even more cozy than I anticipated! I arrived on a cold and dark evening and the owner had switched on the lights inside the house so the place was incredibly welcoming :) Self check-in was easy and the owner was really kind. The bedroom on the third floor was maybe my favourite, beds being so comfy and a beautiful view from the small window. The sunsets seen straight from the windows were an amazing bonus.

There wasn’t like a holder for the shower head, which would’ve made taking a shower easier. A kitchen towel (or maybe a draining rack) for the wet dishes would’ve been nice as well. I was also happy to have earplugs, as I’m a light sleeper and there wasn’t really any soundproofing, but those are all small things.

Easy to get to with public transport. Bedroom was cozy and super nice blankets that made sleeping a joy. Beds were comfortable. View was terrific. 2 coffee shops were a 5 minute walk. Excellent!
