The only slight downside would be the traffic noise outside but for a 2 night stay it was just a minor issue.
GBThe house is very warm, welcoming and well styled. Each bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage and an en-suite bathroom. The kitchen-diner was huge and very well equipped. It was the perfect place for gathering and socialising. Being situated in the heart of Alnwick, it is an easy walk to shops, restaurants and places of interest.
None of the en-suite bathrooms have doors! The downstairs cloakroom did have a door, but no lock. We also ran out of toilet roll and couldn't find fresh supplies. We all found the mattresses and pillows to be too firm. The property is situated on a very busy, noisy road.
GBThe location was ideal for the town of Alnwick, but also a wonderful base from which to explore the natural beauty of Northumbria. The beds were very comfortable and the bedlinen really good quality. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we could have wanted.
It is very good that each room has been created to have it's own en suite, but the basins were a little small in which to be able to shave etc.

House very hot upstairs, made sleeping difficult, however appreciate it was a particularly hot weekend. Didn't open windows due to noise from street below. Would prefer a door on ensuite for privacy. Difficult to brush teeth as glass shelf above sink too low. Very noisy outside due to close proximity of pubs and windows not double glazed.

It was really noisey. Busy road outside, the lounge and bedroom windows face onto this Also the pub across the road has karaoke on Friday and Saturday night and this was really loud. It was hot sleeping bout couldn’t open window due to noise. We didn’t sleep well which was shame as fab otherwise. Would have liked more directions where to park.

The information on where to find the lock box for the key was poorly communicated by Host & Stay. Although part of a comprehensive guide it should have been clearly messaged in an email or text, as other information was, without having to review a multi page document.
GBThe central location of the property meant Alnwick was easily accessible on foot.. The house is very comfortable and beautifully kept.
Unfortunately the road noise is a little intrusive as the rush hour builds.
