guesthouse is completely new, everything is clean and decorated with style and taste - we did not use a lot of kitchen but I think it is fully equipped - you can use terrace with roof to have nice breakfast - host is responsive and a very contact person

There was a strange humming sound coming from somewhere in or around the property. Not loud but there and a bit distracting.

Beautiful hotel, nice decoration, share kitchen very convenient. The host was very kind. Self check in.

Breakfast was delicious with a choice of delicious cakes - I think they were home made. Monica pressed the leftover cake and fruit on us to take away - including home-grown kiwi fruit. Monica was in touch by Whatsapp before we arrived to make sure we knew where to find the property and gave useful tips on finding good local restaurants. The pleasant breakfast kitchen was available for snack preparation and there was a selection of teas and coffees for us to help ourselves. Room was clean, spacious and well-equipped. There's a pleasant covered terrace for breakfast on most days - with a breakfast bar in the kitchen for colder days. While we were there it was unseasonably cold and the pipes froze, leaving the apartment without first hot and then cold water too. Monica was mortified about this but I'd actually increase my rating because of how she dealt with this incident. She had the plumber out before we were even awake and was standing over him until it was fixed. In the meantime she was heating hot water in her apartment downstairs so that we could wash while waiting for the plumber to finish work.

THe location is out of town so access to shops and restaurants is either a brisk 2km walk - probably uphill, with no pavement at times, or requires the car. There is a view of the mountains but it's not the most scenic one ever.
