Amazing place, peaceful, healing, I cannot recommend it enough

Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig und hat einen Blick auf den Strand, diesen kann man in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr hochwertig und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Tipp: Bessies Bar in Ballinlena ist ein wunderbarer irischer Pub mit Blick aufs Meer (ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto).

Als Teetrinker hätten wir uns eine Teekanne gewünscht. Geschirr und Gläser könnten etwas großzügiger vorhanden sein.

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und hat eine fantastische Aussicht. Es gibt viel Platz für alle, wir waren als Familie mit drei erwachsenen Kindern dort. Ein frischer Blumenstrauß, Brot und andere Kleinigkeiten haben uns willkommen geheißen. Eine Infomappe zur Umgebung liegt bereit. Wir haben von dort aus den Wild Nephin National Park besucht, einen Ausflug zum Downpatrick Head und eine Wanderung am Erris Head gemacht.

Nach Aussagen der Kinder, die im Obergeschoss untergebracht waren, war dort oben das WLAN sehr schlecht. Unten war es sehr gut, dadurch hatten wir unten öfter Besuch von den Kindern ;-). Außerdem gab es kleine Raupen, diese waren auch draußen, vermutlich ist zu der Jahreszeit (Ende August) etwas in Mengen geschlüpft und die Raupen waren dann auch im Haus zu finden. Das lässt sich wahrscheinlich nicht vermeiden.

We had a great time at the accommodation. The area is really beautiful and perfect for people who want to explore the lovely nature on the west coast of Ireland. There was plenty of space in the house, including two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking. The contactless check-in was easy, and communication with the host was always helpful and friendly.

Property was spotless, modern and fully equipped. Great attention to detail. Any queries answered really quickly. Lovely folks to deal with. Amazing view! Very relaxing vibe. Will be back.

From the moment we stepped inside This Is It – Along the Coast, we knew we had found something special. The property is clean and beautifully presented, with a clever open-plan design that feels both spacious and cosy. The lounge, dining, and kitchen areas flow seamlessly, yet each little corner has its own character - from the inviting reading chair to the peaceful yoga space, to the games and dining table. The magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows frame stunning views of the surrounding landscape, with a glimpse of the beach at Laken that never failed to lift our spirits. The bedrooms are generously sized, stylishly decorated, and very comfortable, while the bathrooms are equally well presented and spacious, they have a touch of luxury that were appreciated equally when returning after exploring sights as well as for a cosy afternoon relaxing together. The location is ideal for discovering the beauty of the Irish coast. The hosts’ thoughtful guide to local sights and activities made planning our days effortless, and we loved exploring the area with their recommendations in hand. What made our stay even more special were the hosts themselves, warm, welcoming, and quick to respond to any questions. We arrived to find fresh milk in the fridge and bread with butter waiting for us, a gesture that instantly made us feel at home. All in all, This Is It – Along the Coast truly lives up to its name. A perfect mix of comfort, thoughtful design, and breathtaking surroundings, we hope to have the opportunity to return soon.

The nice little touch of having milk, home made brown bread, butter and jam there for us wen we arrived. Ideal location for a relaxing weekend away from the world, the house was spotless and you just just as relaxed as u wud as if u had ur feet thrown up on ur own couch

For me personally my mattress upstairs was comfy but way to soft for my back

Extremely spacious and comfortable property. Super responsive owner - couldn’t have been a more helpful or welcoming host. Made the whole stay easy and straightforward. Spotlessly clean throughout with two excellent bathrooms and three well-appointed bedrooms. Large kitchen with plenty of equipment. Lots of space internally and externally - perfect place to relax after a day of excursions around County Mayo.
