"An absolutely wonderful stay at 43 WHALE ROCK ESTATE!"

The room owner was welcoming, picking us up and giving a thorough introduction to everything in the room. It was cozy and clean, with a pair of lovely chairs perfect for sitting back and enjoying the view directly from the window. The big gas heater was a fantastic bonus, especially on chilly evenings! The location is ideal—just steps away from the seaside. It’s only about 100 steps to sit and take in the beautiful view.

Because the room is so close to the sea, strong winds can cause some noise to leak in through the window.

"Would not revisit."

Location not good, unsafe to get there via WAYZ. Instructions from owner were given but were not clear in emphasis to avoid bad area.

The key did not work in the door. The Yale was broken. Flimsy inner slide lock. Could therefore not leave valuables when we went out.

"Apartment spectacular but location didn't suit us."

A truly wonderful guest house to stay in with natural light, bang on the rocky beach where one hears the sea all night. It offers a great balcony with a braai, comfortable chairs and table and a perfect sea view. Every gadget that can make you feel at home right down to a full spice rack. The apartment was beautifully clean and comfortable. One can do a little walk on the rocky beach. Sadly it is not within walking distance of Hermanus itself but next to the abalone factories with, at times, some acrid smells. Safe parking.

The apartment was nice and clean. Located close to the sea is what I liked. A pity we couldn't enjoy it to its fullest as the weather was bad. Will definitely visit again. The host was friendly and very helpful.
