Olivia Apartment - Central - near the sea with...

The general location was fine if you want to be on the north end of town. The old town is a bit of a walk. The bed was fine. Large apartment, and had a washer in the kitchen that was quite handy. Good storage space

The air conditioner in the bedroom leaked, and dripped constantly while in use. Not only was it a huge annoyance trying to sleep, but it created a health hazard with the mold that it created in the wall. The walk up the hill everyday, followed by another 20+ steps got very old. Pictures show an outdoor area. These are not access able from this apartment. No one cleaned the apartment the entire 11 nights that we stayed there.

Very nice, modern apartment. The fold out couch was comfortable and easy to use. The host was very thoughtful about the basic items available in the kitchen pantry and also had beach towels available for our use.

Since our room was on the 4th floor we were lucky the apartment had a small elevator. The walk from the train was easy with our rolling luggage and backpacks but be prepared to carry your luggage up about 20 steps from the street level to the building door.

The property was close to the beach and shops and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable with decent air conditioning.

There wasn't the best communication. In spite of being clear in emails, there wasn't anyone there to help us find the place upon arrival, we had to message and wait for someone to show up. They also didn't have the sofa bed ready for use in spite of asking, and they complained about the amount of sand in the shower, though we did our best to brush off sand before entering. It would have been very helpful to have beach supplies like chairs and a beach umbrella to use.

Only 2 toilet rolls left for 3 nights stay with 4 people in our family. We ran out of paper on day 2. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Great apartment in wonderful location. Can’t wait to go back. :)

For the duration of our stay, there was no air conditioning. The host at first offered us the first night in an unrenovated apartment 10 minutes away with us required to move all our luggage through the stairs we had already taken which we refused. When the air conditioning was not fixed in the 24 hours as promised, the host instead of being apologetic and providing a fan or a partial refund of the stay, completely focussed consistently telling us on messages that the weather is great and that no air conditioning is required anyway, which was quite displeasing. Interestingly, this property, seems to have this air conditioning issue mentioned in reviews right from 2022, which we sadly missed as we otherwise would not have booked it. The fact that the air conditioning has continued to have issues for so long, either suggests negligence, or an intention to save on power bills (as we consistently got told that we didn’t need AC as the weather was not hot). The two other factors to consider are: 1. The property has 2/3 flights of steps which need to be taken before the lift can be accessed. 2. The bed in the apartment is also extremely noisy and wonky causing a high level of partner disturbance.

I would certainly recommend this apartment as our host, Giovanni, was brilliant and looked after us very well. The location of the apartment is perfect for everything. We arrived in Monterosso by train and the apartment is only a few minutes walk from the train station. Veronica was waiting at the apartment to meet us and showed us everything in a very friendly and informative way. Giovanni left water and milk in the fridge and contacted us to see if we needed anything else for our arrival. The apartment is bright and airy and has everything you need for a great holiday. I was delighted that it included beach towels as well as house towels. It could not be in a better location. It is a few minutes walk from the beautiful beaches and promenade of Monterosso. The sea at Monterosso is absolutely beautiful, so clear and blue. There is a small supermarket and an ATM machine around the corner from the apartment. And there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and beach bars to choose from within a few minutes walk from the apartment. Then a short walk through the tunnel brings you to the old town where there are more very good restaurants and bars. You can travel to the other towns in Cinque Terre by train, boat or hiking. I would recommend people to do at least one hike as the views on the paths are spectacular. There is a lovey vineyard and lemon grove that is a very short hike above the old town and is well worth a visit. We had a wonderful holiday in Olivia New Apartment and can't wait to return.

There was not anything that I could fault Oliva New Apartment on.
