The cottage itself is lovely, clean, and set in a peaceful location. The owners were friendly and accommodating, particularly when clarifying the pet arrangements, and they kindly checked on me during a local emergency which I appreciated. The hot tub was lovely and the owners were available when needed during the stay. Scones and Tea on arrival is a lovely gesture and thoroughly enjoyed. There is a secure dog field just around the corner which was really handy and affordable. I really enjoyed having a nice place to stay. We saw some of the local cows, enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets and watching the stars from the hot tub in the evening.

The pet policy was not clearly communicated in the listing. It states that pets are allowed, but does not make it obvious that this is limited to one dog or that dogs are not permitted upstairs or on furniture. I specifically looked for this information before booking and only became aware after confirming the stay. The information book in the cottage also specified one small dog. The owners were accommodating with me bringing both of my dogs so I appreciated that massively, but it would be better to have this in the main description as I wasn’t able to fully relax. Privacy was also an issue on a couple of occasions. As the cottage is located on the owners’ land, there were occasions where the garden area was accessed without prior notice, which made it difficult to fully relax and feel comfortable in the space. They were for minor things but hopefully this can be communicated even by text message if needs be. Overall, it was a lovely stay, the owners have put a lot of love into their property and it shows.

The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. The location is peaceful and relaxing after busy days sight seeing. We were watching the local wildlife and stargazing from the hot tub. We had an amazing week and would definitely stay here again.

Staff really friendly, helpful and keft some lovely surprises for us. Warm and comfortable cottage. Views amazing, as was garden. Despite weather had a good time.

Weather bad because of time of year. Turn into road interesting for my wide car but didn't take long to navigate it so ok.
