Villa Ark 003-Berawa Beach Cangu -Fatty Lion

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful villa in Canggu! The space was bright, spacious, and stylish, with stunning views overlooking the rice fields — such a peaceful setting to wake up to each day.

The place was filthy, the bathroom smelt like piss the pool was putrid, the deck had rotten boards but worst of all was the noise from the night club over the road.

The property provided a pleasant and comfortable stay. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained, offering a quiet space to relax. The secluded location of the pool area ensured privacy, which was a nice feature for those looking to unwind away from crowds. Inside, the beds were comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep. The rooms were spacious and received plenty of natural light, giving the space an open and bright feel. Having access to a washing machine was convenient, especially for longer stays. Overall, the property met our needs for both comfort and practicality. In terms of location, the property is close to the beach**, which was convenient for quick trips to the shore. Practical touches like a plentiful supply of towels and the offer of housekeeping were appreciated, adding to the ease of our stay. The caretaker, Bagus, also arranged airport collection, though this cost 400k IDR (£20), which is more expensive compared to a standard cab that typically costs around 120k IDR (£6). While convenient, it's worth noting the price difference if you're looking for more affordable transport options. Additionally, we were able to arrange a late check-out for 1,000k IDR (£50), which was a blessing and allowed us extra time to relax before leaving. Overall, the property was well-equipped and functional, meeting our needs for a comfortable and convenient stay.

While our stay was generally comfortable, there were a few drawbacks worth noting. The outdoor area only had two sunbeds which was fine for us as a couple, but would be limiting for larger groups since there wasn't room to add more. The villa itself felt a bit tired and could benefit from some updates. There were cracked floor and bathroom tiles, and one of the wall lights on the stairway was missing, with exposed (but safe) wires. Small details, like having only one teaspoon and some attention to cleaning, would have improved the overall experience. Additionally, we couldn't close the bathroom windows, and there was no key for the external door, which could be inconvenient. Lastly, the villa is located quite close to busy nightlife, making it noisy at night. This was something we overlooked when booking, but it may not be ideal for those seeking a more peaceful environment. If you're looking for quiet, it might be better to stay outside of the Canggu area.
