297 The Blyde Crystal Lagoon

Enjoyed the fact that it was close to the lagoon.

The host was not accommodating. I requested an early check-in and she said she didn’t get the email. She managed to get me in my apartment about an hour before check in time. The apartment itself was terrible on another level. Place was dirty. Couch was broken. Bed was on the verge of breaking. I had requested for a fan the day I arrived and the host had said that her assistant left but they next day she would give it. She didn’t. When I notified her about the couch she said she will give me an update on it, she didn’t get back to me on that. I paid R2100 for 2 nights which was inclusive of cleaning services. When I asked about that she said she didn’t know anything about it. We stayed there to 2 nights and was provided with ONLY 2 towels. I had enquired about it and it was ignored as well. She kept saying that since she was my host she will accommodate me and I kept waiting. Also. On this booking.com app the accommodation was R1600 for 2 nights and when I had proceeded to pay, I was not notified that they took an extra R500 (R300 for tax and R200 for a cleaning fee) out of my account without my knowledge, nor was it stated on there before paying. I was also in a crisis the day I arrived with the information that my uncle had passed on and I needed to leave. However they were unable to refund me or even contact me to see what they can do.

The bed and the couch is not comfortable, the pots are not up to standards

Good morning bed was uncomfortable, sofa is broken. There is no pots for cooking, even egg lifter was not there. We straggled to cook. There was a smell in the room not knowing where it comes from 😭😭😭😭we never enjoyed our stay in that room.
