April1550 Boutique Hotel

Where to start...from the moment you step in to April 1550 you feel welcome. The hotel is an oasis in Old Town, Ljubljana, and every detail and design of the hotel has been carefully considered and planned. Our room exceeded expectations and was extremely spacious and clean. Little touches as well were appreciated; slippers, welcome biscuits, bottled water in the room, flannel for removing make up etc. Very comfortable too! And then on to breakfast! This was a treat in itself. Locally sourced and homemade produce, as well as some of the best coffee, really was the icing on the cake. Finally, something that you won't get from looking at the photos, the staff at April 1550 are its best kept secret. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They'll welcome you as if you're a part of the family, and even after only staying two nights, we wish we were!

Cannot find fault with the hotel. This is more of a FYI for visitors - no tea or coffee making in the room however the hotel serves drinks until 9pm.

We liked the facilities, clean and modern. Location couldn't be better and the breakfasts were great, but the real gem of this hotel was the staff, superb service, warm and kind, nothing was ever too much, made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

hard pushed to find something to be honest, minor thing perhaps was the lack of a tv, but to be honest this did nt in any way detract from the stay... we actually came to welcome the ability to disconnect...

We‘ve stayed at so many accommodations but this one clearly was exceptional. Big thanks to Natasa and her staff - will definitely stay there again!

The staff at April 1550 were incredibly kind and welcoming to us during our short stay. They prepared an excellent, detailed guide of local eateries and places to visit (helpfully including days of operation), and we enjoyed their recommendations. When we had an early departure, they lovingly packed us food to go with all of their special touches. The hotel is an ideal location, on a quiet street just a short walk from two main areas with lots of outdoor dining, cafes, shops, and the castle. I really enjoyed the design aesthetics of the property and wish we had scheduled more time to just soak in the beauty and relax in the courtyard.

I wish I had more time to relax and enjoy the property, including the on-site breakfast!

April 1550 is a delightful, beautiful boutique hotel. We can't recommend it highly enough! The owner & her staff are so friendly & welcoming, The breakfast, all cooked there is incredibly varied and delicious, with wonderful fresh juices and superb coffee. The hotel is just a street away from the busy centre, so is lovely & quiet. Reserve well in advance , there are only 8 rooms!
