L' Archè

A lot of items were in the apartment, even a wasmachine. For us not needed, since we only spend one night.

We had the basement apartment and expected a completely different accommodation based on the photos which are probably from the upper apartment. Booking states 30 m3, but the room and bathroom together is max. 15 m3. When having spent 2 nights before in a Masseria (€48/night) with at least 40 m3 and a big breakfast buffet with meat and not only sweet prepacked stuff),... this was initially shocking. This kitchen- living- sleeping room was priced €58 at Booking.com and very-very small for a 2 meter tall man. One bed is a slide-under bed which could not be placed fully next to the fixed bed because there is no more room. The very small shower wall gets smaller to the top - closing it, the door just did not touch my nose. The accommodation is in the old city, which might be nice, but is not convenient when arriving by car - parking, getting luggage up the stairs... A big suitcase will not fit in the room anymore. We took a bagpack for 1 night and left the case in the car.

Beautiful apartment with a cellar available for bike parking (for a small additional cost) Nearby traditional grocery stores selling critical food items. Hosts were super friendly and responsive.

Sadly no WiFi when we stayed. Also didn't realize when booking that we would need to carry the bike up so many steps - but it was worth it, true beautiful location.
