62N Guesthouse - City Center

Decent hotel in the heart of Torshavn. The hotel is situated a short (10 minutes) walk from the main bus terminal, where the #300 bus drops you from the airport. The neighbourhood is quiet, and moments from the nearest harbour, and the town's offerings of restaurants and bars, and it was next to a supermarket for anything you'd need. Stayed in the Guesthouse, which is round the back of the hotel with a separate entrance, so you didn't need to walk through the hotel to get to/from your room. Guesthouse had a shared kitchen, which had all the crockery/cutlery needs if you were going to do any self-catering. Staff were friendly throughout. Breakfast was a nice egg/sausage/cheese/bread buffet each morning in the adjoining Paz restaurant, which was handy.

It was a bit expensive for what it was, but I think that's the Faroe Islands in general, and it was still the cheapest there was! Some of the decor was a bit worn in places, but nothing too shabby. Stayed in June, so it didn't get properly dark, so even with blinds and a curtain, it was still light in the room, so some blackout blinds would've been useful. In the Guesthouse round the back, you have to rely on other guests locking the front door, otherwise anybody could walk up to your hotel door, but don't think that sort of thing happens here (unlike home in Birmingham!), so was fine, but some kind of cheap door locking latch would've easily prevented this.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja obiektu. Zaledwie kilka minut spaceru od terminala promowego oraz autobusowego. Równie blisko do urokliwej zabudowy Starego Miasta, portu oraz mariny. Tuż obok zlokalizowany jest dobrze zaopatrzony sklep spożywczy. Czystość w obiekcie na zadowalającym poziomie. Dobrze wyposażona i przestronna kuchnia (wspólna) umożliwia przygotowanie posiłków oraz ich konsumpcję na miejscu. Śniadania skromne, ale smaczne w restauracji głównego budynku hotelowego. Pokoje niewielkie i skromnie urządzone. Generalnie obiekt odpowiedni dla osób nie wymagających luksusu, ale tacy turyści chyba nie wybiarają sie na Wyspy Owcze😉. Jako baza wypadowa do aktywnej turystyki spełnia jednak dobrze swoją rolę.

Łazienka niefunkcjonalna o mikroskopijnych wręcz rozmiarach. Umywalka zlokalizowana w narożniku w sposób mocno ograniczający jej normalne użytkowanie. Zasłona prysznicowa przylegająca niemal do muszli klozetowej.

Great location and delivered everything we needed for a short 1 night stay. Use of the kitchen and being adjacent to a supermarket was useful. Paking is free directly outside from 6pm-9am, and 30 mins free otherwise. 200m down the hill you can park in the large harbour car park free for 8 hours 9-6 (& ok to pop back and renew for another 8 hrs if needed).

Rooms and facilities very tired, breakfast was pretty average.

The location is very good, close to the main sights, just next to a supermarket. The stuff is nice and really helpfull, it's nice to have a common kitchen.

If you have a rental car, the accomodation doesn't have an own parking place. And the parking policy in Torshavn is a bit complicated, especially during the day time. The bathroom is a bit small.

Great place to stay. They have full kitchen in one if the buildings. Street parking is not a problem. Grocery store is next door.
