2 BR lovely flat

Close to the town centre.

The host was rude in her correspondence. It is very close to the train tracks, you can hear and feel the ground shake when a train passes. The property was dusty and not cleaned properly. There was expired leftover food in the fridge.

It was clean, bright and well presented, there were nice touches with toiletries & kitchen accessories on arrival. It was close to many parks, not far from the high street with a range of shops, the neighbours were friendly & it suited our needs, as our daughter had to access a local school, daily. The beds were very comfortable & there was fast broadband so I could ‘work from home’. We brought our little dog & the owner was fine about that. Parking was behind the property in a private space. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Only the fact that you could sometimes hear the sounds of adjacent neighbours moving around. If you’re not used to that it can be a bit startling at first but for a short stay it’s fine and we didn’t notice it after the first day/night.

Great location with good train links to central London. Has a private parking spot (big plus). Flat was clean enough and presentable with good amenities that meant we were well covered if we wanted to stay in at all. Host was communicative and very friendly, such as dropping a "how are things" going message part way through, which was nice. Price was good at £147/night, especially on a bank holiday weekend. Split between 3 that was pretty cheap If the problems listed below are resolved I'd be happy to stay again

Biggest problem was the listing stated 1 double, 2 single and 1 sofa bed. Actually was 1 double, 1 single and 1 sofa (not a bed) so we were effectively down at least 1 bed. Thankfully there was only 3 of us so we managed, especially as it wasn't practical or affordable to stay elsewhere at short notice Mixer tap on the shower didn't work, but the water was at the correct temp so didn't cause a problem luckily. A hyper sensitive smoke alarm and a kitchen sink that was super slow to drain were minor annoyances compounded by the bed problem. Without that, this would have been an 8-9/10 It's also right next to the train track - didn't bother us, but a useful FYI.
