AT ONE - with Nature Glamping, Rekawa

We only booked for one night but extended our stay. It's a luxe tent, doesn't even feel like a tent. Kids liked it as well. Swimming pool from the neighbours is really nice. Nice quiet area with lagoon and beach close and super friendly owner and staff

Food is a little expensiver than at other places we were but they can make what you want. And you have to pay for using the swimming pool from the neighbours.

We stayed at AT ONE and absolutely loved it. Beautiful luxury tents surrounded by nature — peaceful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The people running AT ONE are truly wonderful: warm, genuine, and always supportive. The food was exceptional and full of flavor. A heartfelt, welcoming place. 10/10 — would return without hesitation.

We were told we could use the infinity pool next door as there was an arrangement between the owners, but we ended up paying plus for some water we didn’t ask for

Super fijn gehad! Zelfs een nachtje langer gebleven. Manju heeft me mee op pad genomen om schildpadden te spotten en een night safari gedaan. Ook heeft hij heerlijke vis klaar gemaakt!

Deze locatie ligt vlakbij het Rekawa Turtle Sanctuary (ongeveer 10 minuutjes lopen). De locatie heeft een hoofdgebouw met een aantal kamers/verblijven en met een dakterras dat uitkijkt over de omgeving en de nabijgelegen Lagoon. Daarnaast zijn er 6 glamping tenten. Wij huurden er 3 met 5 personen. De tenten zien er echt fantastisch uit. Zeer luxe en stijlvol ingericht, voorzien van alle gemakken. Er is een ruime luxe badkamer. Alles is nog erg nieuw. We werden ontvangen door manager Anoja. Zij had voor onze aankomst ook al met ons gecommuniceerd over de optie om er te barbequen op het dakterras (aanrader), en zorgde ervoor dat we ons met een welkomstdrankje meteen thuis voelden. De locatie zelf heeft een klein zwembadje waar je prima kunt afkoelen. Het grote zwembad dat je op de foto's ziet is echt de moeite waard, en ligt direct naast de locatie. Het is een supermooi zwembad waar je tegen een kleine betaling de hele dag gebruik van kunt maken. Via een korte wandeling kom je uit bij de zee. Er is een mooi en rustig zandstrand, met ook enkele rotspartijen waar je allerlei krabben, visjes, watersalamanders en heremietkreeftjes e.d. kunt zien. AT One medewerker Manju nam ons hier een hele middag mee naar toe om te zoeken naar een zeeschildpad. Hij wist waar ze kwamen eten van het zeewier. Met wat geduld zagen we ze inderdaad. Bijzonder vonden we het persoonlijke contact dat Anoja, Manju en ook de andere medewerkers met ons maakten. Ze namen de tijd voor een praatje en zelfs voor een kaartspelletje.

Great tent, very clean, fit our family in. Good aircon and bathroom. The staff kindly arranged for a guide to take us to Rekawa beach at night time to see the turtle hatching / laying. Delicious bbq up on the sundowner deck, great views of eagles whilst eating dinner.

Everything was perfect. Anoja was a great host. Also all the stuff was kind and helpful. It's a great choice on Sri Lanka :)

The highlight of a wonderful trip in Sri lanka! The tents are beautiful and comfortable. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The location is amazing- wonderful views of the lagoon from the restaurant, a short walk to the beach, short walk to the turtle watching. They go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you could want or need. Try the BBQ, we regret waiting until our last night to try it. The portions are very very generous and everything cooked to perfection with a wonderful balance of flavours. The breakfast is also wonderful. 100% we will be back.
