Everything was exceptional all staff also

The hotel was nice. Room in the hotel not so nice.

The room we were given had a close-up view of a colony of pigeons. Very noisy, and the windows were filthy with their mess. They started cooing as soon as it got light. There was even a dead pigeon hanging a few inches from our window. The poor thing had got caught in wire and hanged itself. Looked like it had been there for quite a while.

When we arrived at our room we were greeted by a wave of heat even though the heating was off at all radiators. Outside the window was an extract fan for the air handling unit so if it wasn’t the heat keeping you awake it was the noise. We requested a fan at reception and this was provided but unfortunately it did absolutely nothing. The room was constantly too hot and it was just genuinely uncomfortable to stay in. After our first night we decided to check out early. We informed the staff who directed us to a manager. I hope we were just misfortunate with the room because the location is great and the staff seem very helpful.

Just a lovely pleasant stay. The food and service were fantastic. The spa was 10/10. There is nothing I can say against this hotel. Lovely quiet safe location. Highly recommended. A lovely relaxing night away. Breakfast exceptional
