Lovely house fairly close to the harbour and town centre, with a steep uphill walk partly back to the house. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Seating in the lounge is very comfortable. Washing up facilities and tea / coffee making facilities are provided. Good communication and information provided before stay. There is a small child's play room next to the attic bedroom with books and a few toys.

This property is ideal for younger people but is not suitable for infirm people. You cannot drive your car up to the house, and have to walk half way up a cobbled road to get to the key safe. After that you can use the rear entrance which is not cobbled, and wide enough for a car. There are 2 cm steps leading into the dining room and kitchen, causing a potential trip hazard. The corners of the rugs in the lounge and a bedroom curl up, again a potential trip hazard. The stairs up to the attic bedroom do not have a hand rail, making it very difficult and dangerous to carry a heavy suitcase up and down the stairs. Apart from these potential hazards this is a lovely house

Absolutely everything! No adverse comment about anything regarding the property. Nice quiet part of town and close to everything Whitby has to offer. We’re seasoned visitors to Whitby and would definitely consider staying here again. Lots of information from the owners and always kept up to date with the build up to our visit and with all details of how they could be contacted whilst there.

Again, everything was more than adequate with the property. Nothing to say as to what could improve anything, we didn’t have any issues throughout our stay.

"Disappointed"

House is very tired not worth the money at all. Rugs are a safety hazard as they are curling up , both my husband and I tripped over them . Information should have warned about the cobbled hill as this was not very good for people with mobility issues..

The location was great, lovely house, it has lots of character and finishes touches. Check in instructions were clear, the host was very helpful and quick to respond to messages

The only thing I didn't like was the living room had a strong dog odour, I appreciate this is a dog friendly property but the place could benefit from some air fresheners

Lovely quaint home with everything we needed. Nice and clean and tidy, with bonus chocolate biscuits :-) loved our stay in Whitby
