The Mar Huts - The Conic Hut

Great comfortable stay. Excellent scenery

While I know there’s not much to be done there were so many bugs in the hut throughout the whole trip which really took away from our experience

The location is great for getting to Loch Lomond and sitting between Drymen and Balmaha is good. The hot tub is lovely to relax in with the little stream running down the lane. The mattress is comfortable, the finishing touches are nice and the contents of the breakfast hamper are good quality items.

For anyone of above average height it’s very cramped and difficult to move around in the hut. The bed only runs the width of the hut so is also too short for tall people making it difficult to sleep. There are chairs that go with a table but that means it’s not possible to open the bathroom door fully and the size of the bathroom means it’s not possible to sit on the toilet properly either. The shower has also has no pressure. While the breakfast hamper was nice there was no indication if you could get a top up of anything if you were there for more than one night.

Inside the hut was amazing, everythign was so cute and comfortable, got our own robes and slippers with a hamper basket aswell

So comfortable, host went the extra mile to make our stay amazing. Advised it was for our anniversary and made our stay even more special. Hot tub was great. Had a bus service that took you into Drymen pubs. Loved the river at the huts. Extra special touches like robe and slippers, fresh eggs, milk, butter, bread etc. Everything you need in the hut, hosts really have thought of everything. Been to many hut with hot tub stays but this is by far the best I’ve experienced. Would honestly recommend booking you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Had the cosiest night here! The lodge was fully equipped, thank you so much for our bottle of Prosecco! The hot tub was amazing, as was the access to the river and how close it is to the lovely Oak Tree Inn! Perfect stay :)
