Host & Stay - North Marine House

Anchor apartment was lovely, was very clean on our arrival, well equipped and comfortable.

I don’t like to be negative as we had a great time away, but There is a tree right outside the back of the building which is very overgrown. It was very windy on our first night and the tree constantly banged on the building and window all night. We literally had hardly any sleep. Also I reported that I couldn’t turn the oven on, I was asked to email a photo of the oven and someone would get back to me with instruction of how to turn it on. Disappointingly nobody got back to us so we had to make do with the hob and microwave and had to eat out more than we planned to. We did see a cleaner in the building and asked her if she knew how to turn it on but she couldnt do it either. This however wouldn’t stop me returning.

Close to all amenities . Separate bedroom . Decent size bathroom . Ground floor .

Bed squeaked .extractor fan did not work in bathroom . Awful smell in bathroom. Tree outside of bedroom needs cutting down or trimming . Kept banging off window during the night we got no sleep on the last night .nail protruding through carpet in bedroom near bedroom window , husband stood on it did not see it , stuck in foot .

Clean, stylish and close to all amenities and attractions

Only just enough pots and pans for cooking and slightly down on glasses ( only one wine glass) if you like to cook from home. Parking is possible in the road if you pick up a disc from the local shop and then you can park outside for a couple of hours for free otherwise you do have to pay in a car park.

Die Lage ist ganz gut.

Bei Ankunft war die Wohnung nicht sauber, überall hingen dicke Spinnweben, die Tagesdecke vom Bett war vollkommen fleckig. Die Größe der Wohnung ist nicht , wie in der Anzeige steht, 90 qm, sondern nur 35 qm. Es gibt keinen Kleiderschrank. Das Sofa ist fleckig und zum Teil beschädigt. Die Küchenausstattung ist unzureichend, die Teflonbeschichtung der Töpfe und Pfannen beschädigt. Handtücher und Bettwäsche gibt es nur einmal in 4 Wochen - es war vorher extra angefragt worden und schriftlich bestätigt worden, dass der Wäschewechsel jede Woche erfolgt. Regale in den Küchenschränken fehlen vollkommen. Die Fensterrahmen in der "Wohnküche" sind mit dicker Lackfarbe überstrichen und lassen sich nicht öffnen, sodass ein Lüften der Wohnung nicht wirklich möglich ist. Das gesamte Haus ist derartig hellhörig, dass man wirklich jeden Laut aus den benachbarten Wohnungen hört. Während die umliegenden Hotels und Pensionen Parkgenehmigungen an ihre Gäste herausgeben, da es hier kein freies Parken und Zeitzonen gibt, mussten wir unser Auto an jedem Tag! in 4 Wochen auf einen kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz bringen und haben insgesamt fürs Parken alleine über 200 £ ausgegeben. Außerdem werden keine Europa-Adapter zur Verfügung gestellt. Nie wieder Host&Stay! Mir tut es im die Eigentümer der Wohnung leid, weil sie bestimmt nicht wissen, was hier passiert.

Lovely open plan apartment., great view and location very comfortable with everything we needed

Was dirty in bathroom ., wasn’t cleaned to a good standard. It is 3 flights of steps to the apartment was not a problem for us but maybe for some.

Good price and a short walk to town centre

This is the 2 nd time we have stayed in Umpires watch apartment lovely and spacious separate bedroom. Nice and clean .

The guttering needs sorting out when it was raining during the night couldn’t sleep for the noise off the water coming out of gutters .
