The host was quite accommodating - we arrived around 30 mins after the 8pm cutoff but he didn't charge us extra to check in late. They were also for the most part reasonable in cancelling the rest of our stay due to the issues we experienced.

The back doors didn't lock.The mechanisms on both sets of rear patio sliding doors were broken and badly designed. There are shutters that roll down but they also don't lock and could quite easily be lifted. It's a ground floor apartment with the rear at the first floor, but easy to access the rear balcony from the road via adjacent balconies. It would take only a few minutes to get in without a key and without damaging anything. This was a deal breaker for us. We flagged this to the host; they offered to send someone the next day to look at it but did not seem to see it as particular problem and became somewhat defensive about it. Ultimately they agreed to cancel the rest of our stay and we left after our first night with a refund for the unused days. I would consider checking before booking whether the doors have been fixed if this is important for you. There was some stale fruit in the fridge on arrival, although this was quite quickly cleared up. Other than that the place was clean, quite well appointed and new although a bit bland, it's an a apartment in a residential block, the pool is nice but doesn't have any seating by it. It feels very much like a generic AirBnB. This apartment would best suit people who want to use it as a base to explore the region, there are better places for lounging around in. We would have stayed if not for the issue with the doors, but the place we found after leaving was far nicer, and cheaper.

Spacious, modern, elegant. Quiet upmarket neighbourhood between the small town of Lagos + Beach of Porto do Mos. Ideal if you have a car. Very comfortable beds, lounge, good water pressure. Lovely large swimming pool availablen to the small complex of about 8 duplex apartments. Communication was excellent. Would definatley stay here again.
