The female dorm was clean and calm with a very good fan and a/c. The mixed dorm I also stayed in appeared grubby and the bathroom dirty with insects, mold and lots of hair in the drain. Breakfast was OK. Lovely garden surrounds.

Super friendly staff 24/7 available. Breakfast was nice. It was easy to get in touch with other travellers without it ever being too loud. It is a social hostel but definitely not a party hostel. The Tuktuk driver who works there is super friendly, gives fair prices. The day tour was fun and it was like 3000SLR for the group of 3 I think.

The beds are quite close to each other with no barricade or blinds or anything. Didn't bother me but I feel like that's good to know. Oh and the hostel has two locations so make sure you arrive at the correct one! The google maps locations is also a bit confusing.

Mr Bandar is so helpful and friendly. He is a lovely man and you can ask him for advice or just to have a chat. The rooms are very clean and each room has its own bathroom which are very clean as well. Hot water and fans and AC if you want it on. (The fan is fine to be hones, it’s not too hot here) The common areas are also very clean and spacious. Great to relax in peace. The location is perfect, away from the traffic and hustle of the city but only a short walk to town around the lake which is lovely. There is a small hill to walk to the hostel, maybe 3 mins. I thoroughly recommend staying here. It’s a fantastic hostel and excellent value for money. I came whilst the Buddhas tooth was on show in the temple for the first time in 16 years (it’s normally locked away) so the city was so busy with thousands of people for the pilgrimage but it was great to be here for it and see everyone. I felt very lucky.

Everything was great.

Very clean, comfortable beds, felt safe. Walking distance to the lake - 20 mins walk to town but a nice walk around the lake. Very helpful staff and breakfast included was a great touch! Free tea/coffee, toast, omelette, curry, marmalade, and juice. Met a couple of nice people but as we were in a group the social side didn’t matter so much. Not super social if you are solo and want to meet people. Quiet, not a party hostel!
