Fox & Hounds Pub

Very cheap - you are unlikely to pay less. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean, although they were tired and not very modern. Location near Surbiton shops and restaurants was very handy. OK for a one-night stay

The bed was soft and uncomfortable. Decor was very outdated. The upstairs was in a state of some disrepair - one wall going up the stairs was literally crumbling away. Gaffer tape on the floor was tatty. The room was large but not at all modern or well furnished.

Gary (the host) was great and gave a very warm welcome (even though I was late). Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms, close to Kingston and Surbiton, with a pub below - what's not to like? It's not the Savoy, and if you're looking for five-star luxury and formality, you won't find it here. But what you will find is something far more valuable - genuine hospitality, a cozy authentic atmosphere, and a true taste of local pub culture. The personal touch from Gary creates an experience that chain hotels simply can't replicate. The location offers the perfect balance of convenience to local attractions while providing a more authentic stay than you'd get in a corporate hotel. For travelers wanting to experience a real British pub with comfortable accommodation above, the Fox and Hounds delivers exactly what it promises - and then some.

Nothing not to like here

Really friendly welcome and super comfortable bed. Access to well stocked kitchen so I could make my own food which was lovely. Short walk into town. Really lovely

Nice huge room , very bright with big windows, access to the kitchen with coffee and microwave, there is car park also . bery friendly staff. highly recommended

as its on the main road in the early morning may be hearing car noise , not too much for me was fine

Gary, the landlord was an excellent host. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very clean overall.
