GBExcellent messages from the host prior to arrival after booking and instructions for check out. Keys in lock box so time of arrival not an issue. Very well equipped, spacious and clean house and east on street free parking nearby. Shop and cafe in village <100yds away and easy access to coastal path/beaches

IMThe cottage was comfortable and very well equipped, particularly the kitchen. It seems to have been recently renovated to a fairly high standard (pity this has removed all its character though). It is in a great location, central to beautiful St Monans, close to the harbour, Fife coastal path and a lovely new artisan food shop. We travelled by public transport, which was feasible by train to Leven and then local bus (2 bus stops within walking distance of the cottage).
We arrived in a raging storm (on foot) and briefly struggled to locate the cottage, mostly because we expected to find a wall-mounted key safe, not a more unusual type hanging from the front door knob. The cottage was very cold indeed when we arrived. It would be nice if the heating could have been put on in advance of arrival time at this time of year.
GBWe are regulars now, going back every time for the peace, cosiness, location, home from home.
There's nil to improve on.
GBThe location was great, we were a minute walk from the harbour and there was a lovely cafe The Giddy Gannet in the next street which was lovely. The house itself was so nice and comfortable with everything you could possibly need.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
