Firstly it said that you needed to let them know 10 minutes prior to arriving to check in when you arrive. We sent them a message 20 minutes prior, did not get any response and ended up waiting over 30 minutes. Secondly, we told the guy how badly we wanted to shower because we spent three nights in the jungle and that we wanted to do our Laundry but he forgot to tell us there was NO water. We can fully understand that some problems are not at all your fault, but it is mostly how they handled the situation that made us upset. We booked the accommodation the same day, when the problem already existed, so it's weird that they still allowed us to book or did not give us a heads-up. Secondly, when we asked about why there is no water he first told us it would only be 10 minutes. After 10 minutes I asked again and he showed me a screenshot of a message (the timestamp of the screenshot was from before check in, but we cannot see the date so it could have been even earlier) saying it was a big city wide problem and it would take some time to fix. However we could see the people working on the pipes in the lobby (see photo), so we do not believe it was city wide and we now knew about the fact that he had been lying about the water coming back on soon. And ended up not having water for the full stay, luckily we only stayed one night. Again we understand that this was a problem out of their control, but to double check if we have towels because we wanted to shower so badly knowing full well that we would not even be able to shower is not a way of handling this correctly.
